SANDY, Utah (AP) — Major League Soccer has named Real Salt Lake goalie Nick Rimando the league’s player of the month. Rimando had three shutouts in three games during June, stopping all 16 shots he faced while helping Real extend the club’s record eight-game unbeaten streak. Rimando has 99 career victories and has a chance to become only the fifth player in MLS history to win 100 when Real hosts the New England Revolution on Friday night.
