Bowen battling Bishop because of national backward slide

For the second time Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Seminary teacher Morgan Bowen is challenging Republican incumbent First District Congressman Rob Bishop on the Democratic Party ticket. On KVNU’s Crosstalk show Wednesday, Bowen said the country has been on a backward slide since the elections of 2008. “I just think that we’ve had a representative in office here that has not really represented us very well and looked out for the public good,” Bowen claimed. “He should have been watching over things. He should have been working to ensure that we didn’t go into this complete economic crisis, but he didn’t, the politicians didn’t. “I think that’s why there’s an anti-incumbent feeling out there because people are sick and tired of individuals not looking out for the public trust.” Bowen says, unfortunately, politicians, including Rob Bishop, are allowing lobbyists and corporate interests to pull the strings.
