Dayton residents will be celebrating Independence Day on Saturday, July 3. Celebrations begin early with a flag ceremony at 6:45 a.m. at West Side High School. Other morning activities include a 5K fun run, one mile run/walk for children and pancake breakfast.A patriotic program, titled Faces of Freedom, will be held in the Dahle Performing Arts Center at 10 a.m. There will also be a Dutch oven dinner at 12 noon, parade at 1 p.m., and festivities from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Perkins Park.
