Family Emergency Preparedness 101 is the title of a series of three workshops presented by the Cache County Extension Service to help families prepare for the ‘big one.’ The workshops will be held on Tuesday evenings July 13, 20 and 27 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the multipurpose room of the Cache County Administration Building. The intent of the workshops is to prepare people, particularly families, prepare for and survive the aftermaths of a large earthquake.Among the topics included are developing and creating a family emergency plan, 72 hour kits, financial information binders, emergency cash stash, water and food storage, cooking and rotation.Pre-registration is required and registration can be done by calling 752-6263. The cost is $10 for the entire series.
