Sister drops charges in ‘Hooters’ text message case

The Smithfield woman who filed a police complaint earlier this year against her sister for sending her a text message regarding her breast implants has dropped the charges. ABC 4 reports today that Anna Hansen dropped the telephone harassment charge she filed against her sister, Jennifer Willhite. The text from Willhite to Hansen reportedly commented on Hansen’s breast implants and said she could get a job at a Hooters restaurant now. The text message was reportedly meant to be a joke, Willhite’s attorney Shannon Demler said earlier. The case was set to go to trial on July 9, but Hansen dropped the charges last week. ABC 4 reports that Willhite said she believes Hansen dropped the charges due to publicity about the case.
