Old Lyric featuring original play by high schoolers

An original play will be featured by the Old Lyric Repertory Company this year, a work created and performed by the high school students who have joined the company in a competitive apprenticeship program. The original play, entitled Into the Daylight, will open July 19 with curtain times of 2 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. There is an additional matinee performance July 20 at 2 p.m. All of the performances will be presented in the BlackBox Theatre, room 224 in the USU Chase Fine Arts Center. Apprentice Program Director, Reggie Call, says the apprentice show is an exciting experience. He says it is less like a play and more like a little slice of life. Tickets are $5 each.
