Foundation aims to help people avoid financial tsunami

The country is heading toward a financial tsunami according to George W. Smith, Executive Director of the G.W. Mastermind Foundation, a nonprofit organization scheduled to make a presentation at the Cache Business Resource Center Thursday evening. Smith says Tom Fairbanks will be representing the Foundation when he speaks on the topic “Find a Need and Fill it” or “How to perceive an Opportunity and Position Yourself in Front of It.””This is what’s necessary,” Smith says, “to teach people entrepreneurship. That’s what this will really be talking about, how to be your own business. Whether it’s a lawn mowing business or whether it’s a business with a thousand employees it still applies exactly the same principles. “And we will be teaching those courses at that location. I have a place in Smithfield now, one in central Logan and one in south Cache Valley.”On KVNU’s Crosstalk show Wednesday, Smith said the presentation will start at 7 p.m. at the Bridgerland Applied Technology College West Campus at 1410 North 1000 West. He says anyone interested in more information about the foundation should cal (435) 227-5769.
