Marches will be in the spotlight for the USU Alumni Band concert on Sunday, July 25. The concert starts at 7 p.m. on the east side of Old Main on the USU Quad and the traditional outdoor concert is free and open to the public. Alumni Band Director and music department faculty member Nicholas Morrison says the program will be made up almost entirely of marches: concert marches, street marches, circus marches and marches from other countries. USU’s Director of Bands, Thomas P. Rohrer, is conductor for the evening. The intermission feature for the concert will be the Alumni Band clarinet section performing special arrangements by Eric Nelson, clarinetist with the Lightwood Duo.
