Cache school board to broadcast meetings online

LOGAN, Utah (AP) — The Cache County School Board is going to broadcast its meetings online. District Business Administrator Dale Hansen says the board will begin live Internet broadcasts of meetings and other business with a work session on Thursday. Broadcasts can be accessed through a page on the district’s website. An archive of past videos and board agendas with links to the supporting documents will also be available. The decision helps the district comply with state laws requiring audio recordings of all board meetings. In the past, recordings were kept on CD, but the system was difficult to manage. The new system also improves transparency, providing the public with better options for viewing meetings and easier access to records and information.
