Fair and rodeo time in Cache County

The Cache County Fair and Rodeo open Thursday, August 12 and continue through Saturday, August 14 at the Cache County Fairgrounds. Cache County Clerk/Fair Manager Jill Zollinger says there should be something for everyone to enjoy. The rodeo with its specialty acts, including The One Armed Bandit, starts each night at 8:00 and there is also entertainment each evening starting at 6 p.m. Friday night will be Tough Enough to Wear Pink which is an effort to raise money for breast cancer research. Rodeo Chairman Lamont Poulsen says the cowboys and cowgirls will be wearing pink that night. Pink t-shirts will be sold at the fair and also anytime now at the Cache County Clerk’s Office. The money will be donated to the local cancer center. All-day passes for amusement rides can also be purchased at the clerk’s office for $18. Rodeo tickets can be purchased at the Clerk’s office, at IFA Country Store in Hyde Park, Petersen’s Country Store in Nibley and Macey’s Food and Drug in Providence.
