One Arm Bandit and EhCapa highlight pre-rodeo events

“Great Country – Great Fair and Rodeo.” That is the theme for the 2010 Cache County fair that opens Thursday, August 12 and continues through Saturday, August 14 at the Cache County Fairgrounds. The rodeo starts each night at 8:00 and Rodeo Chairman LaMont Poulsen says this year there is a great pre-rodeo event.”We’ve got the EhCapa Riders out of Napa, Idaho coming which is a group of about 30 young people,” Poulsen says. “That organization’s been in exsistence since 1956 that ride without tack and perform in the arena. “We’re gonna do that at about 7:30, quater too, around that type. We’ll keep it close. Then we’ll start into our regular rodeo and we do have (the PRCA) Specialty Act of the Year: John Payne, One Arm Bandit.” Poulsen says the One Arm Bandit has developed an act where he performs in the arena by driving some buffalo on top of a horse trailer and then he goes up with them.Poulsen says Thursday is Family Discount Night at the rodeo. Rodeo tickets are available at the Cache County Administration building, Macey’s Food and Drug in Providence, Peterson’s Country Store in Nibley, IFA Country Store in Hyde Park and online at
