A help for foster families

Foster parents are always needed and one foster mother, Jen Llewellyn, says foster parents appreciate the Cache Foster Care Resource Center, which was created as a way to get clothing, furniture, toys and other items needed for the foster children.Llewellyn says the items are now housed in a storage unit and, with grant funding dried up, help is needed to make these resources available. In an effort to help foster families, a drive to replenish the resource center is being conducted during the month of August. Also, a fundraising miniature golf tournament is planned for Saturday, August 28 at the Renegade Sports Complex, formerly the Celebration Center south of Logan. Llewellyn says the children feel more at home when they have their own dresser and a few other things to call their own. There are drop off boxes at Lee’s Marketplace in Logan, at the Logan Library and also at the Division of Child and Family Services Office at 115 Golf Course Road.
