Cache County citizens are invited to give their opinion about the Sheriff’s Office in what’s part of a standard accreditation evaluation. A press release states a team of assessors from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. will arrive Saturday, August 21 to examine the Sheriff’s Office policies, procedures, law enforcement operations and support services. Sheriff Lynn Nelson says since the department’s initial accreditation in 2007, the goal has been to continually increase the professional services to citizens of Cache County. Several opportunities for public comment will be available. A public information session will be held on Monday, August 23, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. The session will take place in the Cache County Council Chambers at 199 North Main in Logan. Those who cannot attend the session but want to comment are invited to call 755-1251 or email from the website www.calea.org.
