Libraries, Spice and canals topics of joint Logan-Cache council meeting

There will be a lot to talk about when the Cache County Council and the Logan Municipal Council hold a joint meeting on Tuesday, August 31. The meeting will start at 5:30 p.m. in the Cache County Administration Building Multipurpose Room 109. Prior to that meeting, at 4:30 p.m. the county council will meet with a representative of the Utah Division of Air Quality and the Logan Council has been invited to attend. The countywide library ballot issue will be one of the topics discussed at the joint council meeting. County Attorney James Swink will discuss the proposed ordinance that would restrict the manufacture, distribution, possession or use of the synthetic substance referred to as “Spice.” County Water Manager Bob Fatheringham will also lead a discussion on the proposed canal restoration project.
