Local Republican leader believes economy helping his party

The headlines look good for Republicans according to Cache County Republican Party Chairman David James. But he cautions party members that it is the day after Labor Day, not the day after the elections, and there is still a lot of work to do.James says he is personally concerned about the way the country is going and he doesn’t believe anything will happen before elections to change things.”Basically President Obama is proposing another round of new spending,” James says. “That hasn’t seemed to work to date.”More than anything it’s concerned people, scarred people that taxes will increase, that money will become less stable, things like that. It’s probably done as much damage as good as a result of that.”James says when you hear the Gross Domestic Product has improved you need to know that is just because of government spending.
