A ribboncutting will be held Wednesday marking the official opening of Utah State University’s Equine Education Center off Highway 89/91 near the Utah Agricultural Experiment Station’s Animal Science Farm. The event is open to the public. The center was built in response to the high demand for equine education throughout the western region, with the first phase taking less than one year to complete. Noelle Cockett, Vice President for Extension and Agriculture, says through the generous support of several wonderful people USU has been able to create a venue for students and visitors to learn about and enjoy horses and put their knowledge into practice. Simply put. Cockett says, this facility has been created for people who have a passion and love for horses.
