Charges pending against semi driver involved in crash

Charges are pending against the driver of a semi-truck that crashed and exploded Tuesday evening, injuring one woman. 37-year old Mark Risher of Providence ran a red light at 1200 South and struck several passenger vehicles, electrical transformers, a sign and utility poles.Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Lee Perry says Risher had just fueled his semi rig and was traveling north on State Road 165 when the accident occurred. Both Risher and 65-year old Lucille Datthyn of New York state were taken to Logan Regional Hospital. Datthyn suffered a broken rib and a broken pelvis as a result of the crash.Risher was shortly released from the hospital after emergency treatment. Perry says Risher likely faces charges of failure to stop at a red light or failure to yield.
