Logan City expected to vote on Spice ordinance Tuesday

The Cache County Council voted unanimously last week to adopt an ordinance that bans the possession and use of a substance commonly know as Spice. The ordinance applies only to the unincorporated part of the county. Now the Logan Municipal Council is scheduled to vote Tuesday, September 21 on an ordinance that prohibits the possession and use of Spice within Logan City limits. Council members have heard comments from law enforcement, health department officials and Logan Regional Hospital physicians talking about the dangers of the currently-legal substance. In other business, the council will consider a resolution supporting the creation of a countywide library system in Cache County. The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m.
