Six county economic summit coming to Logan

LOGAN, UT – The fifth annual What’s Goin’ Down Up North Economic Summit, produced in partnership with the Economic Development Corporation of Utah, is scheduled for September 30, 2010. This Summit is designed to showcase businesses, encourage networking and spur economic development activity in Box Elder, Cache and Rich counties in Utah, in addition to Bear Lake, Franklin and Oneida counties in Idaho. It will be held at the Space Dynamics Laboratory Calibration Auditorium, 489 East 1650 North, USU Innovation Campus, North Logan, UT.The speakers will provide the most current information on Northern Utah’s economic climate, economic development activity and resources for business development. Topics include workforce transitioning, social media marketing, business tax strategy, business financing, as well as an economic forecast.This year’s luncheon keynote speaker is Lew W. Cramer, President and CEO of World Trade Center Utah. His topic will be Why Going Global Makes Good Business Sense (and Lots of Business Dollars!) for Northern Utah Companies. Jeff Edwards, President and CEO of EDCUtah, will provide an economic report.The Summit will be attended by business owners, city, county and state economic developers, University staff and faculty and elected officials.
