Utah Symphony Orchestra to perform at USU

The Caine College of the Arts at Utah State University is hosting the world renowned Utah Symphony Orchestra on Thursday, September 23 under the direction of newly-appointed music director Maestro Thierry Fischer. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Kent Concert Hall of the USU Chase Fine Arts Center.Craig Jessop, Dean of USU’s Caine College of the Arts, invites Cache Valley residents and USU students to come enjoy the exciting welcome to Maestro Fischer and the Utah Symphony. Maestro Fischer was named the seventh music director in the 70-year history of the Utah Symphony in September of 2009. He is also the principal conductor of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and Chief Conductor of the Nagoya Philharmonic. Jessop says it is a great honor to have Maestro Fischer appear in Cache Valley with the Utah Symphony Orchestra, one of his first appearances outside Salt Lake City.
