Dr. Emmett, founding member of Capitol Arts Alliance, dies at 83

A prominent Logan physician, Dr. John Emmett, died Monday afternoon of cancer at the age of 83. Emmett was a founding member of the Capitol Arts Alliance that went on to establish the Cache Valley Center for the Arts which includes the Ellen Eccles Theatre, the Bullen Center and the Thatcher-Young Mansion. Emmett has been a longtime member of that board. He is also a former member and president of the Logan School Board and was active in many other civic organizations.
