Butterfield aims to be more vocal than Hunsaker was for District 4

Former Cache County Republican Party Chairman David Butterfield is hoping to become State Representative Butterfield, replacing fellow Republican Fred Hunsaker who decided not to seek re-election this year. Hunsaker represented District 4 in the Utah State Legislature. Butterfield is opposed by Democratic Candidate Gilberto Urroz. On KVNU’s For the People program Thursday, Butterfield said he will probably be more vocal when it comes to issues than Hunsaker has been. “Anyone who knows me knows I have my principles and I’m passionate about those things,” Butterfield said. “But I want to be fair-minded. I want to be open-minded. I want to be reasonable. “There is a tone and tenor that can introduce itself into politics which can be really unbecoming.” Butterfield says he believes in, “reasonable disagreement.”
