Quick thinking farmer stalls brush fire

Multiple emergency crews responded to a brush fire in Clarkston Monday afternoon. The one-half acre blaze started just after 3 p.m. at 11000 North 8600 West. The fire reportedly started heading uphill when a fast-thinking farmer used his tractor to plow a fire line around the fire, delaying its growth up the west bench until firefighters could arrive. Brush trucks remained on the scene for approximately two hours putting out hotspots.
