Prescribed burn could affect hunters

Uintah-Wasatch-Cache National Forest fire management personnel will continue implementing the Hells Hollow prescribed fire project Friday, October 22. The prescribed fire area 14 miles east of Logan will be closed to the public on Friday but will open for the hunt on Saturday. A portion of the Kearl Pond Road along the east side of the unit will be closed. The Hells Hollow Road will remain open to provide access for hunters. According to a news release, hunters and other forest users will need to check with the Logan Ranger District by calling (435) 755-3620 to confirm if the Hells Hollow Prescribed Fire has been implemented and if the area is open for use.
