County council to discuss library vote results

What happens now that the majority of local residents have voted against the establishment of a countywide library system? That is something members of the Cache County Council will discuss at their regular 5 p.m. meeting Tuesday, Nov. 9.More than 47 percent of those who voted in Tuesday’s midterm election cast their ballot in favor of a countywide library. Logan Municipal Council Chairman Jay Monson, who chaired a committee that studied the library issue, says several individual cities voted for the county system.Monson says possibly those cities at least could form the start of a countywide system.
