“A little help will go a long way this Holiday season.” That was the message from the Cache Community Food Pantry in a flier sent out with the Saturday edition of the local newspaper. A message from Food Pantry Director Matt Whittaker says that in past years many families have found themselves in the unexpected situation of having to ask for help in order to put food on their table. He says as the demands for the service increase, so too has the need for additional support. Whittaker says the pantry simply cannot meet the needs of the hungry this year without more help from the public. Whittaker is especially hoping for contributions of Thanksgiving-related food items, such as turkeys, cranberries, sweet potatoes and other canned goods so that no family goes without some kind of a Thanksgiving dinner. The newspaper flier had a coupon that people could use to send in a financial contribution.
