Extension office urging people to be more thrifty, creative this holiday season

You can control your Holiday spending without being a Scrooge. That message from Adrie Roberts, Family and Consumer Sciences agent for the Utah State University Extension’s Cache County office.Roberts says with the economy still sluggish families need to cut down on gift-giving this Holiday season. She says a simpler, less materialistic holiday will probably prove to be a more memorable holiday.Roberts says families should remember that it is the thought that counts, then set a spending limit and see how creative people can get. The USU Extension offers help with workshops and classes on Money Management, Cooking and Nutrition and a Family Emergency Preparedness series.
