In anticipation of a major winter storm and a blizzard warning from the National Weather Service, the Cache and Logan School Districts have announced that schools will be closing early Tuesday. This closure applies to USU campuses across the state due to the blizzard warning. All closure updates will be posted on the university’s home page, Logan City School District Superintendent Marshal Garrett has announced that the following schools will release early on Tuesday: Adams Elementary at 12 noon; Bridger Elementary at 12 noon; Ellis Elementary at 12 noon; Hillcrest Elementary at 1 p.m.; Wilson Elementary School at 1 p.m.; Woodruff Elementary at 12 noon; Mount Logan Middle School at 12:25 p.m.; Logan High School at 12:10 p.m. (buses will leave at 12:30 p.m.). The pending blizzard has also prompted Logan City offices to close early. All staff will be sent home at 3 p.m. and all offices will be closed. Logan City road crews will be out in advance of the storm and advises motorists to try to stay off the roads as much as possible later Tuesday afternoon as the storm front reaches Cache Valley.
