New signs at crosswalks aim to slow traffic, keep kids safe

Children in the Logan School District now have a reason to feel a little safer. New signs were purchased by the district at the request of Logan City Police, who are in charge of crosswalk safety. Two of these neon green signs can be found at each crosswalk in the district reminding drivers to be cautious, slow down and look for children. The purchase of the signs was discussed and voted on at a previous Logan City School District Board of Education meeting. Representatives said the signs were necessary to increase awareness of school zones, and that crossing guards and the children needed the added protection.
