Utah State Part Of Nike Basketball’s Campus Roar

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State is one of the selected schools involved in Nike Basketball’s Campus Roar, as USU and Nike have teamed up to launch a new way for fans to cheer on the Aggies this season in their pursuit of the Big Dance, the big prize in NCAA men and women’s basketball.Nike’s campaign is called the Campus Roar, and it puts a phrase to the craze that is March Madness. A “Campus Roar” is a slogan, or mantra, that puts into words what the fans in the stands are feeling for the squad on the hardwood.Fans enter Nike Basketball.com or Facebook.com/NikeBasketball and Click on ‘Campus Roar.’ This takes them to a map of all Nike programs. They can then navigate to Utah State.On Utah State’s personal page, fans can vote for their favorite phrase by clicking the Facebook “LIKE” button, or type in their own Campus Roar and submit it for consideration. Fans can choose any approved Roar and download wallpapers of this phrase with their school logo for use on their mobile phone or computer.In March, the top 16 Campus Roars will be turned into custom T-shirts by Nike for fans to wear as they cheer their teams on toward the NCAA Tournament.Fans are encouraged to tell the world why they love Utah State Aggie basketball, in 35 characters or less, and it could turn into the next Nike T-shirt representing USU and the Aggies.Utah State men’s basketball hosts the World Vision Invitational, sponsored by Gossner Foods Tuesday-Thursday, Dec. 21-23. The four-team, three-day tournament has games at 5:30 and 8 p.m. each night, with USU playing at 8 p.m.The Aggie women continue their four-game homestand on Monday, Dec. 20, hosting South Dakota State in a special Noon tip-off for School Day.
