Bees rout rival Bears, 57-29

Box Elder sent a message to Bear River, Region 5 and the rest of the 4A Boys Basketball squads as they head into the new year. That message is simply that the Bees still own the rival between them and the Bears, they’re ready to contend for a region title and have their eyes set on a state title. With a sizzling 8-13 from 3 point land and some outstanding guard play the Bees ran away from Bear River with a 57-29 rout. The bright spot for the Bears was their nice free throw shooting, they went 7-10. But they were over matched and outplayed from the start and the rebounding stat of 33-20 for the Bees proves that. The Bees took a 15-6 lead and it only increased from there. The Bear River Bears now look toward region and their date with Ben Lomond on January 7. Coach Winters felt that the tough preseason schedule will favor them going into region play.
