Approximately 50 agricultural leaders and Utah Farm Bureau members will be traveling to Atlanta, Georgia this weekend to join more than 5,000 other agricultural leaders from around the country at the American Farm Bureau Federation’s 92nd Annual Convention, Jan. 9 through Jan. 12.The Utah delegation will be hearing issues ranging from environmental policy and food safety to the 2012 farm bill and the latest information regarding animal welfare. The Utah Farm Bureau has been a front-runner in encouraging Congress to secure America’s borders and provide for an effective guest worker program and was instrumental in encouraging the American Farm Bureau to similarly support such measures.
