<strong>Ogden 50, Mountain Crest 42</strong>

Mountain Crest was able to perform well against Ogden Friday night for three out of four quarters, with the fourth quarter giving them quite a bit of trouble. Early into the fourth quarter, it actually looked as if the Mustangs were running away with the game with a 12 point lead, but after a few missed opportunities and Ogden capitalizations, MC fell to a final score of Ogden 50, Mountain Crest 42.-Todd Olsen

<strong>Box Elder 46, Logan 37</strong>

The Logan High Grizzlies struggled to score in the 4th quarter and had trouble stopping the Bees’ Brent Meacham. The Box Elder Bees defeated the Grizzlies 46 to 37 in Brigham City.-Bill Walter

<strong>Bear River 57, Ben Lomond 45</strong>

Bear River played their most complete game of the season and they found what kind of result comes from such a performance. Bear River had an outstanding fourth quarter and the Bears cruised over the Scots 57-45 at Bear River. The Bears got off to a great start but collapsed in the 2nd quarter being outscored 13-5, but yet still led at halftime 33-24. The Bears came out of the gate in the 3rd quarter and finally made a run to pull away from the Scots. This was the Region opener for the Bears, and the Scots fell to 0-2 in Region. Nate Watson led the Scots with 17 points. Kade Cadener led the Bears in all around play, with 15 points and 6 steals. The Bears went on a 12-2 run in the 4th and their lead grew to 18 points before the Scots made a small run with little time left. The Bears now will take on Morgan in Garland January 12.-Ajay Salveson
