The ice rink at Merlin Olsen Central Park is scheduled to open to the public on Monday, Jan. 10. A Logan City crew has been constructing the rink which is located at 300 East Center.Once the rink is opened, the city will maintain the rink which must be re-sprayed each night to maintain a smooth surface. There is no cost to skate at Merlin Olsen Park but skates are available for a $3 rent fee.A driver’s license, a personal ID card or student ID is required as a deposit for those who rent. The rink will be open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, 12 noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday and holidays and closed Sundays.
