Food, fiddles and dancing at Whittier Community Center fundraiser

It’s the biggest and most polpular fundraiser of the year for the Whittier Community Center and the annual “Vittles and Fiddles” will be held Saturday, Jan. 29 from 5:30 to 10 p.m. at the Whittier, which is located at 290 North 400 East in Logan. Executive Director Tamara Nielson says the cost is $12 per ticket and tickets are available at the door.”We’ll be doing dinner between 5:30 and 7:30 with new, fresh, hot items from different restaurants every hour,” Nielson says. “Then starting at 7:30 will be a free dance that’s open to the community.”We’ve got a lot of great musicians this year. On the main stage we have Sassafras, Dry Lake Band, and Beyond the Bay. Beyond the Bay will be ending the night with doing the dance. Then in the Pink Room we have the duet of Todd Michelson and Antonio.”Nielson says the evening will end with a free dance starting at 7:30 p.m. For more information, call 753-9008.
