There is still time for people to get involved with a dinner and auction that will help fund a much-needed health clinic in Ghana. Project coordinator Jody Porter says the event will be held Thursday, Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. at Hamilton’s Restaurant in Logan. The goal is to raise $35,000 for the health clinic. “I got to go there last year and saw the health care that they have, and it’s severely lacking,” Porter says. “The organization that we’re working with, World Joy, has done wonderful things there. “We’re really impressed with how they operate and how they use their funds. We feel this will be a huge benefit to the Ghanian people.” Porter says last year the community rallied to raise enough money to build a school in Ghana. It was named Sky View because a lot of the help came from the Sky View area where her daughter Brooke was a student involved in the project.
