More than 200 attended last year and organizers are hoping for a similar response at next week’s American West Heritage Center Valentine Evening of Elegance and Magic. Dinner begins at 6 p.m. in the Opera House both Friday and Saturday (Feb. 11-12). Anjanette Dahle is the Program Manager of Living History Events at the AWHC. “After wagon rides our guests will be taken back to the Opera House for a dinner catered by Logan’s Bluebird Restaurant. “Later our Old Fashioned Mercantile Store will be open so that you can do shopping for your sweetheart. Then we will have a magic show featuring deceptionist Richard Hatch and his wife and son.” Last year’s Valentine Dinner included a Vaudeville Show. “We decided to change things up a little this year and we asked Richard and his family join us.” A native of Logan, Richard Hatch and his wife violinist Rosemary Kimura recently moved to Utah and opened the Hatch Academy of Magic and Music in the Thatcher-Young Mansion in downtown Logan. Tickets for dinner and the magic show are $50 per couple or $12 a person for the magic show only, which begins at 7:30 p.m.
