Reactions have been positive, for the most part, to the announcement that former Logan Fire Chief Kyle Lindsay has been re-hired as an assistant fire chief about seven months after he resigned his previous job and was subsequently charged with burglary and illegally obtaining prescription drugs.New Logan Fire Chief Jeff Peterson says he believes people deserve a second chance and he has the utmost confidence in Lindsay who will be one of five assistant fire chiefs under Peterson’s re-structuring of the department.”Personally, I feel great,” Peterson says. “I am glad things worked out the way they did and I look forward to the next few years.”Peterson says Lindsay, who came to Logan from the Blackfoot, Idaho area, has years of fire service experience and EMS training. After pleading guilty to criminal trespassing and unlawful possession of illegal drugs, both misdemeanors, Lindsay served 10 days in jail and was ordered to help educate the public after his experience with prescription drug addiction.
