Organization provides way for children to ‘Get a Head Start’

Thursday, May 12 is “Get a Head Start Night” and Bear River Head Start in-kind specialist Betty Buist says that is the night for parents to come learn what the non-profit program is all about. All of the Head Start centers will be open to the community and, in Logan, the address is 852 South 100 West. Buist says Bear River Head Start offers three different programs: Pre-school Head Start for children ages three to five, Early Head Start (which serves pregnant mothers and children from zero to three with home child-care centers), and Child Care Connection which serves children from three to five in home-child care centers. Buist says the Parent Involvement component acknowledges parents as responsible guardians and primary educators of their children and activities seek the parents’ involvement.
