The majority of work in Utah on the Ruby Pipeline has been completed, said project media relations Manager Richard Wheatley. The entire pipeline is nearing completion, with about 60 miles of welding and installation left. Wheatley said the project is anticipated to be completed this July. The project will connect natural gas resources in the Rocky Mountains to customers in the western United States. After filing for and gaining permission from entities such as the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the Bureau of Land Management, construction on the pipeline began July 31 last year. The $3.65 billion project is owned by an affiliate of the El Paso Corporation, a natural gas and other energy resource company. According to the project website, once completed the 42-inch natural gas transmission pipeline will start at the Opal Hub in Wyoming and end 680 miles later in Malin, Oregon. – email@example.com
