Expert discusses changing children’s eating habits at USU

An international expert on the eating habits of children is featured in a free presentation at Utah State University on Friday, June 3 and the lecture is open to everyone. Professor C. Fergus Lowe of Bangor University in Wales, will speak at 10:30 a.m. at 650 USTAR Building on the USU Innovation Campus. His topic will be “Changing Children’s Eating Habits.” Lowe is the co-creator of the Food Dudes program, an empirically supported eating program used in more than 1,000 primary schools in Europe. The program is currently rolling out in all of Ireland’s primary schools as well. Food Dudes is recognized by the World Health Organization and is a 2010 recipient of the Royal College of Physicians’ Gold Medal Award.
