SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — BYU star Jimmer Fredette and UConn’s Kemba Walker will work out together for the Utah Jazz but not with other top guard prospect Brandon Knight. UCLA guard Malcolm Lee also is set to work out Wednesday with Fredette and Walker, who battled for national player of the year honors. Knight is expected to work out for the Jazz later this week. The Jazz hold the No. 3 and No. 12 picks in the June 23 NBA draft and Fredette is considered an option with the second pick. He is projected anywhere from seventh to 20th. If the Jazz don’t select a big man at No. 3, many expect a choice between Knight and Walker. Fredette has said he would change his workout date to foster head-to-head competition against Knight and Walker.
