More than a dozen trees on the Logan Tabernacle grounds, some of them large and mature, are being cut down to make room for an expanded parking lot construction project. According to general contractor Raymond Construction Company, the trees had to go so crews could start work on the parking lot and make improvements to the sidewalks on the west side.New trees will be planted in their place. The newly expanded parking lot is set to reopen by October 2011.
