Hyrum armed robbery suspect still at large

Cache County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for an armed robbery suspect in a Hyrum home invasion that happened May 13th at approximately 2:30 a.m. Lt. Chad Jensen says when deputies arrived at 479 Valley View, Hyrum, the victim, Steven Cantwell, reported that armed suspects had kicked in the door of his home and beat him over the head with a shotgun. Cantwell reported that one man held a shotgun while another held a handgun. Other suspects reportedly took several elctronic items form the home valued at $1,000. Jensen says when they left the home Cantwell went to his neighbor’s house and called 911. After talking with deputies, he was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries. Jensen says three suspects have been arrested, including 24-year old Bryan Rousey, North Logan, 27-year old Landon Cox, North Logan, and 18-year old Juan Lomeli, Providence. All were booked into the Cache county Jail on several charges including aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, aggravated assault and theft. 21-year old Pedro Escobar, Providence, remains at large and sheriff’s officials are asking for the public’s help in locating him. Escobar is described as an Hispanic male, 5’6″, 140 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on Escobar is asked to contact Detective Keller at 435-755-1133.
