Man loses finger in boating accident at Hyrum State Park

A boating accident at Hyrum State Park on the holiday weekend resulted in a partial amputation of a man’s finger. Cache County Sheriffs Lt. Brian Locke says deputies and medical personnel responded to the call and found that the victim, Chris Baldwin, was on the dock when the driver of the boat was coming in to the dock. The victim tried to slow the boat down from hitting the dock and his hand became caught between the dock and the boat, partially amputating his ring finger. Baldwin was transported to Logan Regional Hospital by ambulance. No further information is available at this time.
