Jeannie Simmonds has filed for a seat on the Logan Municipal, bringing the total number of candidates to six. Simmonds is currently serving on the Logan City Planning Commission and she is employed as Giving Director at Utah State University.The other announced candidates are incumbent Herm Olsen, former Mayor Doug Thompson, Tom Jensen, Meri Fisher and Steven Stokes. The deadline for filing is Friday, July 15 at 5 p.m. in the office of City Recorder Teresa Harris. If one or more candidates file there will be a Primary election on September 13.
