He ran unsuccessfully two years ago but manufacturing company co-owner Steven Stokes has decided to run for Logan Municipal Council again. Stokes is one of five candidates running for three open seats on the Logan Municipal Council. The others are incumbent Herm Olsen, Doug Thompson, Tom Jensen and Meri Fisher.Stokes says if he is elected he will push for more programs for young people, such as discounts for use of the Logan Aquatic Center.”And still parking’s an issue in Logan,” he added. “They’re still making people buy a pass to be able to park on the road during the winter. “We still have parking downtown issues. The Tabernacle is expanding their parking lot, which is fantastic, but we’re still going to have issues with parking and we need to address that issue.”Stokes says he also has concerns about the size of local government but feels the city’s doing better than it was two years ago.
