Free emergency preparedness class to start up in September

Emergency preparedness classes will soon be available in Cache County free of charge, starting in September, but those wanting to get a head start can attend a class this Thursday. Locals can learn to create “grab and go” boxes, 72-hour emergency preparedness kits full of items like food, tarps and an axe, at a class 7 p.m. July 21 at the Cache County Administration Building multipurpose room, 179 N. Main Street. Adrie Roberts of the USU Extension Office, which is in charge of the series, said the emergency preparedness class series will take place the first Tuesday of every month starting Sept. 6. – [email protected]
