Road construction projects throughout Northern Utah

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) advises motorists of the following road construction and maintenance activities that may cause traffic impacts in the state’s Northern Region:

<strong>Davis County</strong>

<strong>Bountiful</strong>

July 29-Aug 1: Davis County is completing a project to direct storm water through a new conveyance being bored underneath south-bound I-15, at 500 West (US-89) in Bountiful (milepost 317), beginning at 7 p.m, Friday July 29, and concluding by 3 a.m., on Monday, August 1. Because of this work, traffic lanes will vary from three to one lane open through this area throughout the weekend on south-bound I-15 in this specific area. Motorists approaching this area should reduce speed, be aware of lanes that are closed ahead (as indicated by flashing signs and message boards) and move to open lanes as soon as possible. Because of anticipated heavy congestion on south bound I-15 at certain times, motorists with time-sensitive travel are encouraged to use alternate routes, such as the Legacy Parkway at Park Lane (SR-225) in Farmington or via Parrish Lane (SR-105) in Centerville. Traffic can regain south-bound I-15 via 500 South (SR-68) in Bountiful or via I-80 in Salt Lake City.

<strong>Centerville</strong>

Most of the time all lanes will be open, but occasionally the far right lane may be closed to facilitate construction work.
