A food vendor’s booth and several others went up in flames at the Franklin County Fairgrounds Wednesday morning in Preston. One person, Jedd Fellows, was also taken to a local hospital for smoke inhalation. Fire crews from Logan, Trenton, Lewiston, Richmond and Cache County were called out to assist on the fire but were called back after Franklin County was able to extinguish the blaze before it got any bigger. According to the Idaho State Journal, four booths were affected and three of those are a total loss. The booths were operated by Carol Parker, manager of the senior center in Preston. Three of her booths were for the sale of Navajo tacos, scones and jewelry. Much of the proceeds from the booths served as a fundraiser for the center.
